Farrah is a writer from Birmingham, UK. She writes about identity, belonging and race, whether that's through comedy or drama - she loves both! She believes theatre, TV and film has the power to heal, connect and inspire change.

A graduate of the Royal Court, Farrah’s plays include Cordelia for 1623 theatre company, The Walls Between Us for Sampad, and most recently Community for the Birmingham REP. Her debut short film, Look At Us, based on a poem with the same name, was an official selection for the UK Asian Film Festival and has subsequently been selected for festivals globally, including Aesthetica in York and ZEBRA in Berlin.

The script for Farrah’s new short film Patisa, was a finalist at the Women X Film Festival Script Competition. She has also turned her skills to TV, having worked in the story offices of leading soap Coronation Street and Tanglin, a daily drama in Singapore.

Farrah is currently working on several projects including an R&D commissioned by Borderlands Creative People and Places, a feature film, and a mockumentary set in Birmingham.

She is a board member at The Old Print Works, a creative hub and regularly mentors emerging writers.
